What You'll Be Doing
As our Bookkeeper, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring everything runs accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing and processing daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
* Maintaining and reconciling bank accounts and general ledger records
* Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
* Processing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records
* Preparing financial reports and statements to support business decision-making
* Identifying and resolving discrepancies through thorough financial reconciliations
* Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes
* Maintaining organised, secure, and up-to-date financial records
* Assisting the wider finance team and contributing to continuous process improvements
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a positive, team-focused attitude.
You'll ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or similar platforms
* A solid understanding of bookkeeping practices, reconciliations, and general ledger management
* Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
* Knowledge of GST, payroll, tax compliance, and Australian financial regulations
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
* A professional and confidential approach to handling sensitive information
* Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (desirable but not essential)
