We’re looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Area Manager to join our senior team in providing support to our Area Managers and lead our dedicated team of Club Managers & Memberships consultants across a network of clubs. We are soon-to-be 11 Anytime Fitness clubs with the ambitious goals of growing another 4 clubs in our portfolio within the next12-24months.

About the Role
As a AAM for the Marchegiano Group, you will report directly to the Area Management team in helping oversee the performance, operations, and strategic development of Southern & Fleurieu clubs within our Group.
Your role will be to help our club managers & membership consultants to be trained, lead & succeed in their role while seeing our clubs grow & excel within the group.
Your focus will be on achieving business targets, developing high-performing teams, maintaining brand standards, and enhancing the overall member experience across all clubs.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Club Operations
- Lead and inspire club managers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and service.
- Set and monitor monthly club targets and KPIs; provide regular performance reporting.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure consistent execution of brand standards in cleanliness, presentation, and member engagement.
- Facilitate regular training sessions & mentor staff to drive retention and performance.
Member Experience & Community Engagement
- Help address and resolve escalated member concerns professionally and promptly.
- Support local club initiatives to foster member retention and satisfaction.
- Champion community engagement by driving club events and partnerships.
Sales, Revenue & Business Growth
- Drive membership sales and revenue growth across all clubs through effective strategy and campaign execution.
- Analyze financial and performance data; implement data-informed improvements.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team, including the Marketing Manager, Area Managers & Business Owner.
Marketing & Campaign Management
- Oversee the implementation of national and local marketing campaigns across clubs.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide feedback on effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and club-level strategy.
About You
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced leader who lives and breathes fitness and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. You’ll have the ability to inspire those around you, drive performance, and deliver measurable results.
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Anytime Fitness Club Manager or in multi-site management/Development Role within the fitness Industry.
- Driven by Results & not afraid to push the limits.
- Passion for the fitness industry & enjoy working in a team environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, whilst demonstrating respect, communication & inspiring for excellence.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Solid understanding of fitness industry trends, marketing, and sales strategies.
- Competency with performance data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional customer service commitment.
- Social media fluency, particularly on Facebook and Instagram.
- A collaborative yet self-motivated approach to work.
- Proven track record in achieving sales and service targets.
Additional requirements:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Working with Children Check (DCSI)
- National Police Clearance
- Reliable means of transport to travel between locations

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
