Full Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Production and Planning with experience in personal care products and in a highly regulated industry.

The company offers a competitive salary to the right candidate.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the daily operation of the production team headed by the Production Manager.

Prepare monthly production forecasts and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and sales forecasts.

Monitor the dispatch schedules to ensure customer requirements are met.

Inform the Managing Director and customer (if applicable) of potential delays.

Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging components.

Working together with the production team to monitor daily manufacturing performance and resolve operational issues promptly.

Work with the R&D team to ensure new product manufacturing and production are in line with the customer’s launch date.

Ensure the planning and production team complies with GMP, safety and company procedures.

Optimise manpower, equipment, and production resources for maximum efficiency.

Resolve conflicts and issues in production to ensure minimal negative impact on production and delivery schedule.

Work with the QA Team to ensure all GMP and hygiene requirements are adhered to.

AUTHORITY

Approve production schedule.

Approve hiring of production operators.

Approve procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in production management in a pharmaceutical or cosmetic, food or related industries. Preferably with experience working in a TGA-licensed GMP environment.

Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Experience in planning and managing the production of sunscreen, pharmaceutical, cosmetic or similar industries.

Able to communicate effectively with all levels in the organisation and with clients.

Experience in the use of ERP or MRP systems
