Lead workforce wellbeing for one of Australia's largest health services
At Monash Health, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Health and Well-being Manager to lead the organisation's most significant workforce health and risk reduction initiatives, helping improve the physical and psychological health of more than 25,000 employees across Victoria's largest public health service.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and operational leader. With a clinical background or experience in managing psychosocial and physical hazards common to frontline healthcare, you are equally comfortable developing organisational strategy, partnering with executives, and engaging directly with frontline teams to deliver meaningful, lasting change.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director Health, Safety and Wellbeing, if appointed, you'll lead Monash Health's workforce health and wellbeing portfolio, including the organisation's two largest workforce risk reduction programs to proactively manage psychological health and Musculoskeletal risk.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based programs that reduce workforce risk, improve employee psychological health and wellbeing and support a positive, healthy and safe workplace culture.
Success in this role will come from your ability to work closely with frontline employees, managers, clinicians and executives to co-design practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
What You'll Do
Lead enterprise-wide workforce health and wellbeing programs
Drive improvements in physical and psychological health outcomes
Lead large-scale injury prevention, psychological health and wellbeing and risk reduction initiatives
Influence organisational culture and support sustainable behavioural change
Partner with operational leaders to identify workforce risks and develop practical solutions
Use data, evidence and employee feedback to inform decision-making
Lead, coach and develop a highly capable team
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the health, safety and wellbeing portfolio
About You
You are a highly credible leader with a strong track record of achieving organisational change at scale within complex environments.
You bring:
Significant experience within the healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of common hazards and evidence based mitigation programs
Demonstrated experience in leading a comprehensive psychological risk management program at scale
Proven success leading physical and psychological risk reduction programs relevant to healthcare
Demonstrated capability delivering measurable improvements in physical and psychological health outcomes
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
The ability to translate strategy into practical, frontline-focused solutions
A collaborative leadership style and passion for improving employee psychological health and wellbeing
Experience in trauma informed care or managing vicarious trauma or conflict de-escalation will be highly regarded.
Essential
Tertiary qualification in two or more of the following are required:
Occupational Health and Safety
Psychology
Human Movement or Exercise Science
Physiotherapy
Occupational Therapy
Public Health
Health Promotion
or another relevant discipline.

Monash Health supports flexible work arrangements. Due to the operational nature of this role, a minimum of three days per week on-site is required to build relationships, engage with frontline teams and maintain visibility across our services.
