You've spent years working in high-risk, high-pressure environments , HV switchyards, hazardous areas, instrumentation panels. You know this industry inside out.

The Role
As a Trainer and Assessor at Volt Edge, you'll bring your real-world expertise into the training room — delivering accredited, hands-on programs that genuinely prepare students for high-risk electrical environments.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering industry-leading training and assessments using Volt Edge's expertly developed, compliance-ready materials
- Using our online Learning Management System (LMS) to mark theory submissions, track progress, and give meaningful feedback
- Running hands-on practical sessions that replicate real-world work conditions in HV, EEHA, and Instrumentation environments
- Coaching and mentoring students — building their technical skills, safety awareness, and confidence
- Adapting delivery to suit diverse learners while maintaining full compliance with ASQA standards
- Training programs you'll deliver (minimum 2 required):
- High Voltage (HV): Switching, isolation, live line
- Hazardous Areas (EEHA): Ex inspection, classification, equipment
- Instrumentation: Cert III & IV Solar & Battery Design, install, storage
- Refrigeration Cert II & III
About You
You're technically sharp, people-focused, and ready to make an impact beyond the tools. You bring:
TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent vocational education qualification)
Deep hands-on experience in High Voltage and/or EEHA environments — this is non-negotiable
Ability to deliver across at least 2 of Volt Edge's training areas, with appetite to grow your portfolio
A natural communicator, you can hold a room, explain complex concepts clearly, and give feedback that actually helps
- Confidence using digital platforms and LMS tools for assessment and student tracking Ability to adapt your delivery style to suit different learners — from apprentices to experienced tradespeople Willingness to travel occasionally within VIC (all bookings handled by our Admin team)
Bonus points if you hold:
- Working at Heights, EWP, or relevant safety cards Experience in oil & gas, mining, or utilities sectors Prior training or coaching experience (formal or informal) ───
