Event Labourer - Cirque du Soleil- KOOZA – SYDNEY

Want to be part of the crew that makes one of the world's greatest live shows possible? Spark Event Group is hiring energetic, reliable labourers to help build and set up the Cirque du Soleil KOOZA Big Top. It's physical work, it's fast-paced, and it's unlike anything else you'll do.

Key Dates Estimates:
* Please note that these dates may be subject to change based on requirements 

Set-up dates – Thursday 8 October – Wednesday 14 October 2026

Teardown/ Bump out Dates – Saturday 2 January – Tuesday 5 January 2027

Location: Big Top at the Entertainment Quarter (122 Lang Road, Moore Park NSW 2010)

Mandatory Requirements - A Walid White Card / Construction card & Steel Toe Safety Shoes/ Boots

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Day & Night Shifts - Event Labourer Cirque du Soleil — KOOZA Big Top

You'll be working under the supervision of our site director on the full setup and pack-down of the KOOZA Big Top. All work is mainly physical and hands-on. All staff must hold a valid white card or be willing to obtain at own cost. You must also ensure that you have your own PPE such as hard-hat and steel cap boots to wear during every shift.

Lifting, carrying and installing metal bleacher and chair structures
Assembling metal and aluminium tent structures
Handling and positioning canvas tent sections
Installing floor panels, ramps, handrails and guardrails
Setting up distribution (distro) boxes and HVAC ducting (ladder work involved)
Loading and unloading trucks to schedule
Pulling, rolling and unrolling feeder cables and canvas
General cleaning and site upkeep duties

Safe Lifting Applies at All Times: The maximum individual carry is 25 kg. Anything heavier is always a team lift — no exceptions. We look after our crew.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Is This You?

Physically fit and comfortable with labour-intensive work across a full shift
Available for day or night shifts as rostered
A reliable team player who works toward a shared goal
Comfortable taking direction
Punctual, dependable, and ready to get stuck in
Hold a valid white card certificate or willing to obtain

BONUS SKILLS

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

Experience with tent erection, grandstand assembly, or temporary structure builds
Trade skills in plumbing, construction, or general building
Knowledge of safe loading practices and local transport regulations
Familiarity with truck weight limits, height restrictions and load strapping standards
Additional licences/ certificates such as EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights etc,

Pay: $34.96 – $48.95 per hour
