Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Chef to bring creativity and expertise to our kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and make an impact in a busy, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain High Standards: Ensuring excellence in food quality and presentation
Quality Control: Consistently monitoring dishes throughout preparation and presentation stages to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction.
Customer-Focused: Providing a great customer experience to drive repeat business and positive reviews.
Cooking Under Pressure: The ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and provide timely service
Kitchen Management: Effective management of kitchen operations, bookings, and functions to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
Menu Planning: Developing and planning menus, along with estimating costs including special offers and Seasonal dishes.
Team Collaboration: Smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
Staff Management: Selecting and training kitchen staff.
Controlling Stock and Inventory: controlling and managing stock (kitchen stock) to minimize wastage.
Weekend Availability: Availability on weekends is crucial for supporting the restaurant during high-traffic periods.

Qualifications and Skills:

Prior experience as a Chef, especially in a fast-paced environment, with strong leadership and attention to detail.
Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
Relevant Australian Qualifications – minimum Diploma in Hospitality
