About Us

We pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients, traditional cooking methods, and contemporary presentation techniques to create memorable meals that showcase the rich flavours of Indian cuisine.

With a strong reputation for quality food and customer service, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, preparing and cooking a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, vegetarian specialties, breads, rice dishes and regional Indian cuisine.
Preparing, seasoning and cooking food in accordance with established recipes and restaurant standards.
Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
Designing and contributing to menu development, seasonal offerings and special dishes.
Supervising food preparation and cooking activities within the kitchen.
Ensuring all dishes are presented to a high standard with appropriate portion control.
Managing stock levels, ordering food supplies and liaising with suppliers as required.
Inspecting food ingredients and finished products to ensure freshness, quality and compliance with food safety standards.
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and food handling requirements.
Training, supervising and mentoring kitchen staff where required.
Assisting in rostering and coordinating kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Working collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

Diploma of Hospitality Management, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or a relevant qualification.
Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant or commercial kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, cooking techniques and food presentation.
Experience in preparing a wide range of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes.
Sound understanding of food safety, kitchen operations and stock management.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Reliable, motivated and passionate about delivering high-quality food.
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
