Full Job Description

Oaks R Suites Geelong is a premium serviced apartment hotel located in a restored heritage-listed building overlooking Corio Bay and Austin Park. Originally opened as R Hotel Geelong in 2022, it joined the Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites brand in 2025, which is part of the global Minor Hotels group. The hotel offers 128 hotel rooms and one- and two-bedroom self-contained apartments with modern amenities, catering to business and leisure travelers.

The Events & Conference Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering conferences, meetings, weddings, corporate functions, and special events. This role works closely with clients, hotel departments, and external suppliers to ensure every event runs smoothly while meeting the hotel's quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and events.
Liaise with clients to understand event requirements and budgets.
Prepare event proposals, contracts, and function schedules.
Coordinate with food and beverage, housekeeping, and operations teams.
Arrange event room layouts, audiovisual equipment, and catering requirements.
Monitor event setup and provide on-site support during functions.
Ensure events comply with health, safety, and venue policies.
Resolve client concerns promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate event records, invoices, and post-event reports.
Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.

Pay: From $7,000.00 per month
