Job Title:Software Engineer

Company: IVEGA GROUP PTY LTD

Location: Suite 2, 1 Horwood Place Parramatta, NSW 2150

Salary: $135,000 to $155,000 (Excluding Superannuation)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking/financial services, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop microservices-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js
Build and manage RESTful APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI standards
Work on cloud-based architectures, primarily on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3)
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo
Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments via Kubernetes
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and refine requirements
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and demos
Ensure code quality using tools like SonarQube and Snyk
Work with databases such as MongoDB, SQL, Cassandra
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot
Expertise in Microservices architecture
Experience with API development (REST, Swagger/OpenAPI)
Good knowledge of AWS services
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Strong database knowledge (SQL & NoSQL)
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git

Preferred Skills:

Experience in banking or financial domain
Exposure to AI/Automation tools (LLM, LangChain, AI Agents)
Knowledge of API gateways and integration tools
Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Postman, SoapUI)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
AWS Certification (preferred)

Pay: $135,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
