This is a three (3) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension and/or permanency
The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.
The Role
The Manager - Programs and Data provides high-level advice and strategic support to the Authority to enhance effectiveness and informed decision making for issues and initiatives considered to be of strategic significance and/or have policy implications for the Authority. They assist in the development of policy and procedures for the collection of data and certification processes across all schools as defined by Authority legislation.
This role will require the successful candidate to manage the Authority's data collection and the implementation of certification policies. The manager will be required to provide advice and support to schools regarding the use of Student Information Records System (SIRS) and assist in the development of policy and procedures for their team. The manager will work closely with other teams within the Authority including the Programs and Vocation Studies team regarding the collection of data for vocational education and training courses and endorsed programs. The successful applicant will also manage staff performance, leave entitlements and manage, monitor and regularly review program budgets
