Are you ready to take on an exciting opportunity in the heart of the Goldfields?

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic at Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM), one of Australia's largest open-pit gold mines, is a world-class asset where you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining and repairing Caterpillar machines. This is your chance to make a significant impact while working with cutting-edge equipment!

WesTrac KCGM, in partnership with Northern Star, is dedicated to maintaining a large fleet of machines through scheduled servicing, planned shutdowns, and minor in-pit repairs to ensure Northern Star mining operations run as smoothly as possible, as our onsite team excels in mobile workshop and on-site repairs.

Roster options:

Residential- 7 days, 3 off, 7 nights, 4 off - 12 hours per day (inc. 30-minute meal break)
FIFO (from Perth) - 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off - 12 hours per day (inc. 30-minute meal break)

What You'll Do:

Perform scheduled and daily maintenance, servicing, and inspections of mobile mining,

earthmoving and ancillary plant equipment.

Maintain accurate lubricant records and machine hours for each piece of equipment.
Support WesTrac and the customer by following the maintenance process safely and efficiently.
Report faults/defects and complete service reports using CAT Inspect.
Operate forklifts.
Implement product improvement plans.

What You’ll Need:

Australian Driver's Licence (Light Rigid or Medium Rigid).
Australian-recognised Heavy Mobile Plant trade certificate with post-trade experience.
High-risk Work Licence (Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces).
Strong computer literacy with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in maintenance servicing heavy equipment (mobile plant/ancillary).
Excellent customer service and safety-focused mindset.
Confidence to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
