About the Opportunity
ACCIONA Agua is seeking a Cost Controller to join our corporate team, supporting cost recovery, labour cost tracking and performance reporting across the Australian business.
This role sits at the centre of our corporate team overseeing cost control, utilising data captured through LinkedSite and translating it into meaningful insights within LinkedOffice to support business‑wide decision making.
The role is focused on ensuring ACCIONA is accurately tracking, allocating and recovering the cost of its people across tenders and live projects, with a strong emphasis on data integrity, reporting and performance visibility.
Key accountabilities

Manage and track labour costs, man‑hours and cost per hour across tenders and live projects

Ensure accurate allocation of staff costs across projects and bid activities

Support cost recovery processes, ensuring the business is correctly charging for workforce utilisation

Utilise LinkedOffice to produce high‑level reporting and insights across all projects nationally

Analyse data captured in LinkedSite and translate it into actionable corporate reporting

Develop and maintain resource histograms and workforce cost tracking models

Monitor and report on travel costs, temporary allocations and utilisation rates

Work closely with Project Controls, HR, Finance and Commercial teams to collect, validate and consolidate data

Identify trends, cost leakage or discrepancies and escalate as required

Support cost forecasting and performance tracking across the portfolio

Continuously improve processes for labour cost tracking, reporting and system usage
Required Skills and Competencies

A tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, finance or similar

Approximately 7-15 years’ experience in cost control, project controls, finance or similar

Strong experience in labour cost tracking and cost recovery within infrastructure or construction environments (histograms experience highly desirable)

Advanced Excel capability with Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across projects and corporate functions

Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge where required
