Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist who not only excels in front-desk coordination but also has demonstrated experience in writing and implementing policies and procedures to simplify the front desk operations. We pride ourselves on professionalism, efficiency, and maintaining strong operational standards.

Position Summary

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring smooth administrative operations. This role also supports clinic compliance and efficiency by drafting, reviewing, and implementing administrative policies and procedures.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Administrative Duties

Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
Handle phone enquiries, referrals, and correspondence
Process billing, payments, and insurance verification, medicare and dva submissions and rejections.
Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and external stakeholders

Policy & Procedure Development

Draft, review, and update clinic administrative policies and procedures
Ensure policies comply with healthcare regulations and best practices
Assist with implementation and staff training on new procedures
Monitor adherence to established processes and recommend improvements
Maintain documentation and version control of operational manuals

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a healthcare administrative role
Strong writing and documentation skills, with experience developing formal policies and procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare compliance standards
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
