Role Overview
Following a major digital transformation from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, we are seeking a seasoned Senior SAP SD / VMS Consultant to lead onsite support operations in Melbourne.
This role acts as the functional heartbeat of business operations, ensuring end‑to‑end lifecycle stability across procurement, logistics, sales, and after‑sales processes, while supporting the transition from Hypercare to a scalable BAU model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead S/4HANA post‑go‑live stabilization, ensuring alignment with business requirements and performance benchmarks
- Manage end‑to‑end Sales & Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE), and Supply Chain (SCM) processes
- Act as Vehicle Management System (VMS) Subject Matter Expert, covering procurement, stock, sales, and after‑sales operations
- Troubleshoot complex enhancements across the SD / MM / VMS landscape
- Ensure smooth integration between demand planning, MRP, procurement, and fulfillment processes
- Lead Hypercare to BAU transition and manage competing stakeholder priorities
Technical Qualifications – Core Skills
- 12–15 years of hands‑on experience in SAP SD / MM / VMS within complex S/4HANA environments
- Strong exposure to Procurement and MRP in both ECC and S/4HANA
- Deep expertise in Logistics Execution (LE) and Supply Chain operations
- Experience working in highly customised SAP landscapes
- Strong critical problem‑solving skills, including:
- Root cause analysis
- PRB reduction
- Permanent issue resolution
- Ability to identify recurring incidents and implement systemic fixes over workarounds
- Strong cross‑functional troubleshooting across integration, data, access, and backend layers
