COMMIS CHEF OPPORTUNITIES - Hamilton Island

Your Role

As a Commis Chef, you’ll work alongside experienced culinary professionals to deliver consistently high standards of food quality and presentation. You’ll support food preparation and service across our restaurants, cafes and event venues while developing your skills in a fast-paced and supportive kitchen environment.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
Support daily preparation and service across a variety of kitchen sections.
Ensure all dishes meet quality, presentation and portion standards.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness requirements.
Assist with stock rotation, storage and waste management.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and efficient service.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a passionate and reliable Commis Chef who takes pride in your work and is eager to continue developing your culinary skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, value teamwork and are committed to consistently delivering quality food.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification (Essential).
Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or reputable commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Valid working rights in Australia for a minimum of six months.
Open Australian driver licence preferred for some roles.
