The Role
Coodanup College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Head of Learning Area - Mathematics to join their leadership team.
The successful applicant should have a focus on instructional leadership, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to lead change. With a large part of the role being able to build and maintain an effective team, strong communication and interpersonal skills are desirable. This position ideally requires a dynamic leader who can motivate and manage staff, lead the development of engaging curriculum and contribute to the schools strategic and operational plans through strong leadership, collaborative processes and extensive professional knowledge.
The successful applicant will ideally have the experience and professional knowledge to lead staff and curriculum development across the mathematics disciplines and should display an understanding of Teaching for Impact and have the ability to model high-impact classroom teaching methods. Coodanup College offers a wide range of educational opportunities for all students including Inspire (Academic Extension), Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Education Support, and experience in supporting inclusivity is valued.
Leading the improvement of student outcomes and engagement through innovation and creative strategic direction is an important aspect of this position. Experience or knowledge of Fogarty Edvance and Western Australia Positive Behaviour Support (WA PBS) would be highly desirable.
