CATS Accountants is a progressive accounting firm on the Central Coast, and we're looking for a Senior Tax Specialist to join our team in a senior client-facing role.
If you're a technically strong tax professional who loves working directly with clients, mentoring others, and getting involved in complex structuring and advisory work - this is the role for you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll manage a portfolio of clients with complex tax needs while contributing to team oversight alongside a fellow Client Manager. This isn't a back-office role - you'll be the trusted adviser your clients turn to for their most important decisions.
Day to day you'll be:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a wide range of tax compliance and advisory matters
- Providing expert technical advice on income tax, GST, CGT, and related matters
- Advising on entity structuring, business acquisitions and sales, and trust arrangements
- Supporting SMSF compliance and strategy for relevant clients
- Playing an oversight and mentoring role within a team of 10
- Contributing to our growing advisory offering - we see compliance as the foundation, not the ceiling
ABOUT YOU
You're a seasoned tax professional who combines deep technical knowledge with strong client relationship skills.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification (essential)
- Strong technical expertise across Australian income tax, GST, CGT, and trust taxation
- Experience advising on entity structures, business transactions, and SMSF matters
- Proven ability to manage client relationships at a senior level
- Some exposure to team leadership or mentoring - and the appetite for more
- Commercial mindset - you understand what's at stake for business owners
- Comfortable working in Xero and modern practice tools

- $100,000 - $150,000 + super, depending on experience

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
