About the role

The role of Receptionist is to provide an effective and efficient reception/administrative service across Barwon Health sites and contribute to the overall performance of Barwon Health to ensure high quality customer service. A focus of this role is ensuring that the administration functions support the patient journey core principles of access and patient centred care with a high standard of quality

Key Responsibilities

Front desk service: Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and callers in a friendly, professional manner.
Communication: Answer and direct phone and in-person enquiries efficiently and accurately.
Administration: Maintain client records, correspondence, and data entry across systems.
Client support & operations: Provide timely information, support service programs, and assist with daily operations including cash handling.

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in reception and administration, with the ability to manage busy front-desk operations and handle clerical tasks in a confidential environment
Abilitiy to demonstrate highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a courteous and respectful approach and a strong commitment to privacy
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet use, and electronic information systems and databases
Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
