The Schools and Regional Project Lead is a senior specialist and strategic implementation role within the Professional Educator College, responsible for leading the design, implementation and review of major VET Workforce Project initiatives across secondary schools and regional Victoria.
As the Schools & Regional Project Lead, your key responsibilities include:

Lead the VET Workforce Project initiatives into regional, remote and schools-based delivery models.

Design and implement scalable approaches for trades, school-based VET and regional workforces.
-
Guide senior leaders and governance groups on place-based program implementation.
-
Lead regional and schools-based research, workforce intelligence and implementation planning.
-
Establish project delivery plans, milestones, operational models and reporting processes.
-
Lead end-to-end delivery of schools and regional components across multiple initiatives.

Lead high-level engagement, negotiation and partnership development with:
- Secondary schools, principals and VET coordinators
-
Regional TAFEs
-
Regional Pathways Workforce (RPW) partners
-
Government and system stakeholders (as directed)
- Accountable for stakeholder adoption of project initiatives and technology systems

Oversee input into Training Needs Analysis, consultations and workforce intelligence processes.

Lead and manage the Schools and Regional Business Partner.

Provide direction, performance support and capability development.
-
Establish and lead a CoP for regional and school-based VET educators, with a trade’s priority.

Guide CoP engagement, communications and participation strategies.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with demonstrated leadership capability, including managing staff, developing capability and driving performance.
Qualifications required for the role:
-
Relevant degree and postgraduate qualification, or equivalent combination of extensive management, leadership and specialist expertise in education, workforce development, regional delivery, schools engagement or project/program leadership.
Skills and Experience (Essential)
- Extensive experience leading complex program delivery across multiple stakeholders, partners and environments.

Demonstrated specialist expertise in VET, schools, regional delivery or workforce development.

Strong ability to translate strategy into scalable operational and place-based delivery models.
-
Proven experience providing authoritative advice to senior leaders, governance groups and stakeholders.

High-level stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills across system and sector contexts.
