About us

Abergeldie is a majority locally owned contractor with over 30 years experience delivering complex projects across a variety of sectors including water, utilities, bridges, roads, rail, underground, energy and community infrastructure. The complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

About the opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic Community and Stakeholder Advisor to join ABK Joint Venture (ABK JV). The ABK JV is a partnership between Abergeldie, BMD and KBR who are delivering major water infrastructure upgrades for South East Water across Melbourne’s south east over the next 10 years.

This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their career who is looking to gain hands on experience in community and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with our project and management teams, you will assist with the day-to-day coordination of stakeholder and community engagement activities across the programs. This will include preparing community notifications, responding to enquiries, coordinating project communications and acting as a friendly and professional point of contact for residents and stakeholders on site.

This is a full time, site-based role in Dingley Village offering excellent exposure to major infrastructure projects, ongoing mentorship and the opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

What you’ll bring to the team

Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing, community engagement or a related discipline highly regarded but not a requirement.
Must be able to work autonomously and take ownership of end-to-end communications on your delegated projects.
Assist with internal communications and events.
Working collaboratively across Stakeholder Engagement, with our Project and Management Teams and the Client.
Familiarity with stakeholder engagement frameworks such as IAP2.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
