Job Description
A key factor of APMs success is the ability to support and place injured workers or jobseekers into sustainable employment. The Employment Placement Consultant role within the APM WorkCare team has a key focus on securing Host Placements for work hardening and new employer placements via job brokerage to support our clients to return to meaningful work.
This role sits at the intersection of talent acquisition and rehabilitation—focused on sourcing, positioning, and placing “job ready” candidates into meaningful employment or temporary work hardening programs to support their recovery post-injury. If you’re an experienced employment consultant, or recruiter looking to utilise their skill set in a new sector, this is a highly transferable and rewarding opportunity.
We are looking for someone to join our team on a casual basis initially, with potential for progression to a permanent position in-line with our continual growth.
In this role, you will:
-
Conduct cold canvassing and marketing of clients to host employers for short-term work hardening programs, as well as ‘job ready’ clients for new employment.
-
Facilitate supported job seeking sessions with our clients to lead end-to-end candidate preparation, including interview coaching, resume development, personal branding, and guidance on sensitive conversations (e.g. injury disclosure).
-
Work closely with the Primary Rehabilitation Consultant to assess and realign goals and strategies.
-
Maintain regular contact with Primary Rehabilitation Consultant to ensure timely updates and outcomes.
-
Maintain documented evidence on client files of all canvassing, sessions and all secured interviews.
What we are looking for:
-
Experience in Employment Services, recruitment, talent acquisition, or a KPI-driven environment
-
Proven experience working within a high-performance driven environment.
-
Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence local businesses and hiring managers to build long-term partnerships.
-
Strong candidate management capability—able to coach, position, and represent clients effectively in competitive markets
-
Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships.
-
Well-developed ability to undertake research and to prepare, collate and organise data for reporting purposes.
-
Police clearance
Make an impact where it matters most.
Step beyond traditional recruitment and play a direct role in helping people return to meaningful work after injury. In this role, you’ll build employer partnerships, place job-ready candidates, and drive real outcomes that change lives.
What’s in it for you:
-
Hybrid working environment with flexibility and autonomy to set your own hours
-
Purpose-driven work with visible impact
-
Highly transferable recruitment + rehab skillset
-
Career progression opportunities with a national organisation
-
