PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Responsible for the execution of warehousing and consumables functions, facilitation of calibration, testing and workshop tasks to enable business
operations within the BHC workshop as directed by the supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
- Ensure operational needs are met in an environment of diverse business units and culture, while promoting improvement of inventory processes
and outcomes.
- Warehousing services including stock receiving, picking, packing, counting, returns and movement of stock.
- Cyclic counting of stock and annual stock-take duties.
- Accurate completion of required paperwork and data entry as and when instructed.
- Maintenance and housekeeping of assets, materials, and warehousing facilities to required standards.
- Organise the testing of gloves, first aid kits, fire extinguishers and sling/harnesses with contractors and line managers.
- Annual check of spill kit bins and replace required items when necessary.
- Obtain quotes for repair and service for equipment held in tool store.
- Weekly check (Mondays) Eye wash showers, Defib kits, Ice machines, forklift, and trailers and report any damage of missing items to line manager.
- Filter oil as needed and monitor oil already filtered and stored appropriately. Liaise with relevant line manager on oil levels.
- Maintain depot yard as and when directed by appropriate line manager.
- Assist in the maintenance of the returned asset yard and assist in the Service Delivery component of the Board of Survey (BOS) process.
- Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles, corporate values and
strategies.
