About the Role
Reporting to senior management, the Production Flow Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of work throughout the production facility.
As the Production flow coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day production activities, prioritising work, managing production schedules, and directing shopfloor resources, including supervisors, to achieve operational objectives.
This role is focused on ensuring production plans are executed effectively, resources are available when required, DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) targets are achieved, and continuous improvement initiatives are identified and implemented across the business.
You will work closely with production teams to optimise workflow, reduce downtime and waste, improve productivity, and foster a high-performing culture focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Production Coordination & Planning
- Manage and coordinate daily production activities across multiple departments.
- Develop and maintain production priorities based on customer orders, delivery commitments, and business requirements.
- Monitor workflow and production capacity to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Coordinate with supervisors and department leaders to resolve bottlenecks and maintain production flow.
- Track and report production performance against key targets.
Safety
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture throughout the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in risk assessments, investigations, and corrective action initiatives.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and workflow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, lead times, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyse production data and implement solutions to improve performance.
- Support the development and standardisation of operating procedures.
Cost Reduction
- Identify and implement initiatives that reduce waste, rework, downtime, and operating costs.
- Improve utilisation of labour, materials, and equipment.
- Support inventory and resource management activities.
People & Culture
- Lead by example and foster a positive, engaged, and accountable workplace culture.
- Support supervisors and team members in achieving operational objectives.
- Encourage collaboration, communication, and continuous learning throughout the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in production planning, production coordination, manufacturing operations, or production management.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow management.
- Demonstrated experience leading and influencing shopfloor teams.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ERP or production planning systems would be highly regarded.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $98,000.00 per year

- Bayswater North VIC 3153: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
