The Role
We are looking for an Inventory Team Leader to join our warehouse team. Working Monday to Friday from our brand new Support Office Warehouse in Coomera , this role is responsible for leading inventory operations, maintaining stock accuracy, and driving continuous improvement across our distribution centre.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone with strong Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory systems experience who can confidently analyse inventory data, improve processes, and lead a small team to deliver exceptional operational outcomes.
You will oversee the receipting and management of inbound inventory, investigate stock discrepancies, optimise warehouse stock locations, and work closely with the Purchasing Team to ensure inventory integrity. In addition, you will lead and support team members, helping to create a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across both retail and eCommerce operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the accurate and efficient receipting of inbound stock from suppliers
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and incorrect product supply
- Review completed invoices and coordinate inventory adjustments with the Purchasing Team
- Coordinate stocktakes and scheduled cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
- Manage strategic warehouse stock locations to maximise efficiency and product flow
- Oversee the onboarding of new products, warehouse locations, and removal of obsolete inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential supply shortages to key stakeholders
- Identify and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and cost control
- Monitor inventory transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure inventory movements are processed accurately
- Prepare inventory reports and communicate inventory performance to relevant stakeholders
- Report and resolve inventory-related issues including product faults, barcode discrepancies, damaged stock, and expiry concerns
- Maintain stock storage standards, stock rotation, and replenishment processes
- Manage the workload, efficiency, and daily priorities of warehouse inventory team members
- Coach, train and develop team members on inventory procedures, systems and best practice
- Support team leadership activities and contribute to a positive, high-performing culture
- Support Warehouse Management System (WMS) enhancements and inventory improvement initiatives
- Drive process improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance warehouse operations
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Compliance procedures

About You

- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain or stock management leadership roles
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, motivating and developing team members
- Strong knowledge of inventory management methods and warehouse best practices
- Advanced working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, inventory software and reporting tools, with the ability to investigate inventory issues, analyse data and drive inventory accuracy
- Experience working in fast-paced environments while achieving service and operational targets
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable analysing inventory data, identifying trends and implementing process improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and passion for continuous improvement
- Qualification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business (desirable)
- Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain)
