We are seeking an organised, reliable and safety-conscious Receiving Clerk – Materials to join Andaz Gold Coast.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys keeping operations running smoothly and understands the importance of having the right products in the right place at the right time.

The opportunity

As Receiving Clerk – Materials, you will support the hotel’s day-to-day receiving, storage and distribution operations.

You will be responsible for checking incoming deliveries, maintaining accurate records and ensuring goods are handled, stored and distributed safely and efficiently. Working closely with Purchasing, Finance, Culinary, Food and Beverage and other hotel departments, you will help maintain strong stock controls and a well-organised receiving area.

What you will do

Receive, inspect and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Check goods for quantity, quality, damage, temperature and expiry dates where applicable.
Record deliveries accurately in the hotel’s purchasing and inventory systems.
Report discrepancies, damaged goods and incorrect deliveries promptly.
Ensure all goods are labelled, stored and distributed to the correct department.
Maintain a clean, secure and well-organised receiving and storage area.
Follow food safety, hygiene, manual handling and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with stock rotation and ensure first-in, first-out practices are followed.
Support inventory counts, stocktakes and reconciliation processes.
Maintain accurate receiving records, invoices and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve delivery issues.
Assist with the movement of goods throughout the hotel.
Support cost control by helping reduce waste, loss and stock discrepancies.
Follow hotel security procedures for all deliveries and contractor access.
Assist the Materials and Finance teams with general administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

About you

You are practical, dependable and highly organised. You notice the details, communicate clearly and enjoy being part of a busy operational environment.

You will bring:

Previous experience in receiving, stores, warehousing, logistics, purchasing or a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good organisation and time-management skills.
The ability to manage multiple deliveries and priorities.
Confidence using inventory, purchasing or stock management systems.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The physical ability to safely lift, move and store goods.
A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays when required.
A current driver licence and forklift licence, where relevant to the position.
Must already have ongoing working rights for Australia - we cannot offer sponsorship

Experience in a hotel, hospitality, food service or high-volume receiving environment will be highly regarded.
