Site Engineer – Urban Development (Subdivisions)

Location: South East Queensland

But anyone who's worked on one knows the reality—it's complex, fast-moving, and full of variables.

At our client, getting it right starts on site.

As a Site Engineer, you'll be at the heart of delivery—working alongside supervisors, project managers, and crews to make sure projects are built accurately, efficiently, and without surprises.

This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the action—not stuck behind a desk.

Subdivision projects are won on paper—but they succeed or fail in the field.

Your role is to:

Turn drawings into reality
Solve problems before they impact program or cost
Keep the job moving while maintaining quality

When this role is done well, projects run smoother, risks are reduced, and teams perform better.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be embedded in delivery, working across all aspects of subdivision construction.

You'll:

Support the day-to-day delivery of subdivision projects on site
Interpret drawings and ensure works are constructed to specification
Manage QA documentation, ITPs, and compliance requirements
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
Assist with programming and tracking progress against key milestones
Identify and resolve site issues—especially around services and ground conditions
Support cost control, variations, and reporting
Work closely with survey teams on set-out and verification

You'll be part of the team making sure the job actually works—not just looks good on paper.

About You

You're someone who enjoys being on site and solving real problems.

You likely:

Have wxisting experience in civil construction (ideally subdivisions or similar)
Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or similar
Understand how civil works are actually built—not just designed
Are proactive, organised, and detail-focused
Communicate well with crews, subcontractors, and management
Want to learn and take on more responsibility over time

Typical Projects

Greenfield subdivisions
Bulk earthworks and lot shaping
Roadworks and pavements
Stormwater drainage systems
Sewer and water infrastructure
Staged developments with live constraints
