This is an ongoing role focused on advanced neuropsychological services to children and young people diagnosed with oncological or haematological conditions within a specialist multidisciplinary team, and contribute to long-term survivorship care and monitoring.
Permanent part-time (one day per week, must be able to work Friday)
Grade 3 Neuropsychology role in paediatric oncology and haematology
Make a meaningful impact for children, families and long‑term survivors
Provide specialist survivorship consultations through regular participation in the Long‑Term Follow‑Up Program Clinic

About the Department / Program
Monash Children’s Cancer Centre (MCCC) provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary care to children and young people diagnosed with a wide range of oncological and serious haematological conditions across inpatient, outpatient and long-term follow-up.
About the Role
Join our team as a permanent Grade 3 Neuropsychologist (0.2 EFT, one day per week) delivering advanced neuropsychological care to children and young people affected by cancer and its treatment. The role also contributes to the Long Term Follow-up Program Clinic, providing specialist survivorship monitoring and consultations with patients and families.
In this role, you will:
Deliver advanced paediatric neuropsychological care addressing cognitive, emotional and behavioural impacts of cancer, surgery, radiation and chemotherapy
Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to inform diagnosis, monitor developmental change, and guide long‑term survivorship care
Produce high-quality reports and deliver clear, timely feedback to families, clinicians, schools and external supports
Contribute to specialist consultation, supervision, education, research and service improvement activities
You will be guided under the leadership of Monash Health Psychology, Medical Director of the MCCC, Nurse Unit Manager MCCC, and will create strong relationships with the broader MCCC Allied Health team, Royal Children’s Hospital and Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
Experience in or a strong interest in pursuing a career in paediatric oncology and haematology or experience working with young people with serious health/medical conditions and diagnoses
You hold endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology and have a minimum 5 years' experience working as a registered psychologist at Grade 2 level (or equivalent)
You are a board approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia or would be eligible to undergo the appropriate training within 6 months of commencing the role
You are a collaborative team player who values partnership, shared expertise and working closely within a multidisciplinary team
