The purpose of this job advertisement is to undertake recruitment to create a Clerk Grade 9/10 talent pool. A recruitment pool is a group of applicants who have been assessed and identified as suitable for this role, and who may be considered for a range of similar roles, including temporary, term or ongoing roles, over the next 18 months.
About the role
The Assistant Manager drives the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
The role leads the development and implementation of innovative solutions that streamline processes, increase efficiency, customer satisfaction and enhance service delivery.
About you
- Deep understanding of payroll processes, leave entitlements, awards, and legislation relevant to the organisation, including compliance requirements.
- Strong skills in managing relationships with internal customers, HR teams, finance departments, and external agencies.
- Experience supporting or leading change initiatives, adapting to evolving business needs and system upgrades.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business Administration or a relevant discipline, or demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services/Payroll environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
