Full Job Description

Choice of India Morayfield trading as Silver Foods Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Indian Traditional Chef to join our growing team urgently. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian traditional dishes, maintaining high food quality standards, and assisting in the daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Position Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of relevant chef experience
Strong knowledge of authentic Indian traditional cuisine
Ability to prepare a wide range of curries, tandoori dishes, breads, biryanis, and regional Indian dishes
Experience in kitchen management, food preparation, and stock control
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery will be highly regarded

Position Details:

Permanent full-time position
Minimum commitment of 3 years preferred
Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation
Immediate start available
Flexible roster including weekends and evenings

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing and cooking authentic Indian meals
Designing and maintaining menu quality
Managing kitchen operations and food preparation
Monitoring food quality and presentation
Maintaining cleanliness and food safety compliance
Assisting with stock ordering and kitchen supervision
