Your Impact
As the Regional Leader, Sales, you are the architect of our success in the Federal Government territory. You’ll be the primary driver for identifying new business opportunities, our bookings and revenue targets across hardware, software, and services within the Federal Government territory. This role requires critical thinking, a deep understanding of the public sector, and a consistent track record in sales management. Your impact will be felt through:
Strategic Leadership: Formulating and driving the region's go-to-market strategy and business plan. Define and drive the sales strategy for the regional specialist team, aligning to Cisco’s broader growth priorities.
Culture Catalyst: You will be the steward of our team’s environment. You will actively create and sustain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture where talent is nurtured, diversity is celebrated, and every team member feels empowered to innovate and grow.
Talent Development: Hiring, mentoring, and retaining premier sales talent while fostering a growth mindset.
Strategic Partnership: You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior government leadership (C-level) and key stakeholders, cultivating deep-rooted, strategic relationships that position Cisco as an essential partner in the federal landscape.
Operational Excellence: Driving rigorous sales management processes, including accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and diligent reporting. Stay informed about industry trends, government policies, and the competitive landscape.
Market Influence: You will represent Cisco at industry events, staying ahead of government policy shifts and competitive trends to ensure we remain the partner of choice for federal agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Shown experience in leading a sales team in the technology sector, with a strong preference for experience within the public sector or Federal Government accounts.
- A consistent, verifiable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Solid understanding of the Australian public sector procurement process and government contracting.
- Established professional relationships within the Australian Federal Government.
- Must currently hold unlimited working rights for Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with Cisco's technology, partners and/or eco-systems.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic and logical approach with the ability to balance complex operational and business challenges
- Self-motivated, results oriented, and comfortable working with both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to travel as required to support the territory.
- Active NV1 security clearance would be highly preferred.
