About the role
The Adolescent Inpatient unit is a 12 bed Psychiatric Unit (AIPU) which supports ,assesses and treats Adolescent 13-17 years of age.
The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse is a valued and collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team and is accountable for delivering safe and comprehensive patient centred care within their scope of practise and in alignment with the Eastern Health Nursing and Midwifery Board Practice Standards.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current registration with AHPRA
Minimum of 2 years experience post Grad.
Desirable to have experience in an acute mental health setting
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
