Onboarding Program Specialist
Sydney, NSW | 12 month contract | Epping Head Office | Hybrid
Reporting to the Head of Capability and Inclusion, the Onboarding Program Specialist works in close partnership with Senior Leaders, Managers, People and Culture colleagues, and Clinical and Quality teams across SCC. The role collaborates with subject matter experts to co-design onboarding content that is relevant, role-specific and aligned with operational realities.
The Onboarding Program Specialist also engages with external training providers and industry partners to strengthen onboarding pathways and ensure learning solutions reflect contemporary practice. This is a highly connected role, requiring strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams to ensure onboarding supports both employee experience and organisational outcomes.
What you’ll do

Partner with leaders and teams to identify onboarding needs, challenges and opportunities
- Design and implement onboarding pathways aligned to strategic priorities, values and employee value proposition
- Ensure onboarding content supports capability development and career progression.
- Ensure onboarding content aligns with organisational policies, legislative requirements and compliance expectations
- Embed capability and competency requirements into onboarding pathways to support workforce readiness.
- Apply learning evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of onboarding programs
- Use data, learner feedback and analytics to refine content and demonstrate return on investment.
- Promote inclusive and accessible learning design across all onboarding pathways

What you’ll bring
- Strong knowledge of learning design, adult education principles, and instructional best practice

Proven experience designing, developing, and evaluating blended and digital learning

Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across clinical and corporate audiences

Competency using learning technologies, LMS systems, and authoring tools

Organisational and project management skills to meet multiple deadlines and expectations
- Experience in a learning or instructional design role with demonstrated success in program delivery

Demonstrated experience with designing onboarding/induction programs

Familiarity with evaluation methodologies and learner analytics
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualifications (desirable)
