Hours Per Week: 38 hours per week (including TAFE NSW attendance)

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) and MEGT Apprenticeship Network Provider are excited to offer Trade Apprenticeship pathways for motivated and trade passionate individuals.
Targeted trades are electrical / plumbing / carpentry and painting. You will gain a Certificate III in your chosen field with the security of employment in a facility that offers diversity of skills training with our ongoing building developments.
This apprenticeship is an exciting and challenging opportunity which allows you to take a first step towards learning and building a successful career. Completing your apprenticeship with SESLHD will provide you with a platform to launch your career and emerge as a first-class tradesperson.

The Role

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.

The Apprentice performs trade apprentice duties under the general supervision of Senior Fitter/Machinist or Maintenance Manager. The Apprentice is also required to attend TAFE training each week as part of the standard working week.

Selection Criteria

Completion of compulsory secondary education and must be eligible to enrol in the relevant TAFE trade course.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with commitment to resident focused service.

Ability to prioritise and manage a wide variety of tasks.

Current drivers licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.

First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
