Full Job Description

Tripod Farmers Group Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s largest salad and lettuce producers with farms in Western Melbourne, Gippsland and the Sunraysia region. The business is seeking full-time qualified Forklift Drivers on their site in Bacchus Marsh (VIC 3340) and Boisdale (VIC 3860).

The salary offered is $79,499 per annum plus superannuation.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

Operating forklifts to transport produce to designated areas on the farm and warehouses.
Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to load and unload goods.
Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located.
Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments.
Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage.
Servicing and performing minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts.
Operating equipment with a high level of proficiency and competency.
Completing all required documents including quality reports and safety inspection checklists.

The applicants will have the following skills and experience:

Minimum 2 years of work experience operating forklifts.
Forklift Licence.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Flexibility with working hours.
Excellent communication skills.
Class C (unrestricted) drivers licence (preferred).
Relevant AQF Certificate II or III.
Previous vineyard, farming or horticulture experience is highly desirable.
