Role Overview:
We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Full-Time team member to join our team across our Cromer and Dee Why locations. You'll be responsible for preparing, baking, and packing a variety of our signature products, including madeleines, palets bretons, meringues, croissants, brioches, fougasses, and more, for both wholesale production and our retail shops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of French pastries and baked goods following established recipes and head pastry chef instructions.
- Assist with wholesale production and shop preparations as needed.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and authenticity in all products.
- Prepare ingredients and operate baking and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
- Document all recipes and processes.
- Adhere to all food safety and health and safety (H&S) processes and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in a French pastry environment (academic qualification preferred).
- Strong knowledge and passion for traditional French pastry and baking techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (relevant certifications needed).
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual (logistics to be studied before application)
- Excellent teamwork skills and proactive behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and methods.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends (Tuesday-Saturday).
- Valid working rights in Australia.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
