We are seeking a dedicated Mine Engineer to join our Mine Engineering department. As a Mine Engineer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating activities related to a full range of engineering functions to ensure that service and operating standards are met both internally and externally.
You will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the design and development of processes, practices, and methodologies within the field of engineering. Your expertise and insights will be instrumental in driving innovation and efficiency in our operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Independently handle pit phase designs and short-term mine plans.

Integrate short-term plans into long-term, LOM plan to avoid bottlenecks.

Analyze and interpret short-term mine plans to ensure alignment with operational objectives.

Supervise, on a daily basis, survey work and drilling/blasting to coordinate and prioritize planning goals.

Control and monitor mining activities by checking progress on the ground, compliance with plans, and analyzing completed work results.
The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience preferable in mining industry.

Strong knowledge of mine planning and engineering software is an advantage

Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented

Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break

Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
