Where you'll be working
Join a compassionate and patient-centred team in this senior Bereavement Counsellor/Coordinator role, where you will lead and nurture a comprehensive bereavement service within Supportive and Palliative Care across Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). Based at Mt Druitt and working across the district, this role offers the opportunity to provide thoughtful, specialist counselling alongside tailored support and meaningful follow-up to family members and carers during a deeply sensitive time in their lives.
Working in a collaborative and values driven environment, you will have the opportunity to influence service development, contribute to education and research, and help shape best practice bereavement care across the District.

What you'll be doing
Working collaboratively within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you will also strengthen referral pathways, build staff capability to respond to complex grief, and contribute to education, service development, and policy across the district. - Coordinate bereavement assessment, counselling, support programs and follow up services
- Deliver specialist grief and bereavement interventions for individuals, families and groups
- Provide education, consultation and clinical supervision to health professionals
- Lead service planning, quality improvement, resource development and evaluation activities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen bereavement care pathways
