We are seeking a skilled and analytical Mine Business Analyst to join the Finance team at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. In this role, you will evaluate operational and financial data, identify trends and performance drivers, and provide actionable insights to support informed business decisions. You will play a key role in strengthening cost management, enhancing financial reporting, monitoring operational performance, and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls. The successful candidate will contribute to improving cost accountability, reporting accuracy, and overall business performance across the mining operation.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinate the month-end closing cycle and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Lead quarterly variance analyses and balance sheet reviews, while preparing major cost variance analysis reports.

Perform ad hoc analyses for site management and corporate office and prepare monthly reconciliations.

Promote a culture of cost control and ensure compliance with reporting standards, such as IFRS.

Maintain an organized documentation structure for financial reports and assist with ad hoc requests from management and technical staff.
The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a Finance Department, with exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, reporting, and business performance monitoring.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Superior analytical skills to simplify spreadsheets and reports.

Strong organizational skills, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadline.

Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days break mainly in Brokopondo.

Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
