Full Job Description

McCosker Contracting are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a project at Carmichael Coal Mine. In this position you will provide effective engineering capability to achieve completion of contracted works in accordance with client requirements and project plans. This role will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to the project engineering team overseeing completion of project tracking, reporting and controls to a quality and timely standard.

This position will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which we operate.

This position may be required to travel and work on various project sites, where we operate, to support the successful delivery of project and company goals.

To be successful in this role:

Qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence
General Construction Induction (white card/blue card)
Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior level in civil engineering and construction
Strong knowledge of the civil construction standards, including legislation, and associated practices
Experience in managing and applying project management principles in implementing a client program
Experience in managing project commercials
Able to liaise, mediate and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Experience managing and providing guidance to a team
Competent in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and schedules
Experience in a civil based business
Able to develop, implement, and evaluate high quality programs
Expertise in communication, including skills in developing project documents
High level critical analysis and reporting skills
