As a Graduate Automation and Control Engineer
Based at our Fisherman's Landing operation in Gladstone, you'll play a key role in our digital and automation journey, helping bring smarter technology and ways of working to a complex industrial environment. Working alongside our Operational Excellence, Electrical Services and Engineering teams, you will:
- Build your engineering foundations through hands-on exposure across automation, control and digital systems
- Support digitalisation and automation initiatives that improve how our sites operate
- Help turn operational challenges into practical solutions that drive safety, reliability, productivity and cost outcomes
- Work with data and technology to improve visibility, monitoring and decision-making
- Collaborate across operations, engineering and digital teams, bringing fresh thinking and a willingness to challenge the status quo
- Build skills and experience you can leverage across Cement Australia, through rotations and beyond the program
- This role is designed to develop your technical capability and set you up for long-term growth. You'll act as a catalyst for innovation, directly involved in the initiatives shaping the future of our operations for years to come.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for curious, driven grads who want to hit the ground running in 2027. You’ll thrive here if you are:
- Completing (or have recently finished) a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation, Control Systems, Software or a related discipline
- Excited by digitalisation, automation and the chance to help shape a site's autonomous journey
- Love solving complex problems and making sense of data
- Resilient, proactive, and ready to step outside your comfort zone
- Keen to grow, learn and take on new challenges
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with people, from operators to site leaders, and can influence without authority
- Happy to get hands-on in a heavy industrial environment, working across operations and engineering
- Open to relocating to Gladstone, QLD for the program, with a rotation to Railton, TAS (we'll support you the whole way)
