What you’ll deliver with us
Working within a collaborative team-based culture of continual experimentation and learning, the Senior DevOps Engineer possesses a deep understanding and passion for DevOps. The Senior DevOps Engineer works with a range of technical teams to implement technical solutions and support our existing platforms to deliver operational excellence and a high-quality customer experience.
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for automation of processes, support and maintenance of continuous integration delivery systems and the support, maintenance and uplift of application platform infrastructure to provide stable, robust and secure systems and services to our customers and provide speed to market for new solutions.

Work on integration with and migration from legacy platforms.

Build strong relationships with technical teams staying connected to all facets of technology in order to continuously automate, integrate and deliver sustainable software in highly managed systems

Collaborate with technical teams to resolve technical queries as well as implementing strategic solutions to maintain and uplift our application infrastructure.

Build at scale and deploy at speed

Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment, aligning to the goals and objectives for project and agile development.

About you
We are seeking a good communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly articulate and document solution design. This is because you’ll be working closely with developers, designers, architecture, business analysts, quality assurance, testing services, information security and technology operation teams. From a technical perspective you’ll get to work with GCP, GITLAB/Jenkins, SNYK, Checkmarx, Nexus, SonarQube and Tomcat in this position, so someone who is a passionate technologist is a wonderful fit for this team.
You’ll also need

Technical background working with Python, NodeJS or equivalent language and NoSql databases (DynamoDb, redis)

Proven ability with AWS, Azure is required and with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) an advantage but not required

Expert Knowledge of source code management tools and CI/CD principles allowing application source code to be built, packaged, versioned and deployed (Maven, Jenkins/GitLab, GIT, SonarQube, Nexus or equivalent)

Expert knowledge with Docker and containers as well as security scanning (Snyk etc)

Comfortable working in an Agile environment with on-call responsibilities

Demonstrated experience working with CloudFormation / Terraform, Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, API Gateway, Route 53, RDS, Load balancers
Demonstrated experience working with AWS Cloud Watch, AWS CloudTrail, SumoLogic, New Relic, Lambda, ECS -Fargate, ECR, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2
