Reporting to the Head of Program Management, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering small to medium cross‑functional projects end‑to‑end, primarily related to updated medical devices. The role also supports Senior Project Managers in coordinating complex programs through effective planning, reporting, and execution support.
The Project Lead/ Coordinator independently owns assigned projects while also supporting Senior Project Managers through coordinated planning, reporting, and execution activities within larger programs.
Accountabilities and Associated Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned small to medium cross‑functional projects end‑to‑end, from initiation through execution and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive timely mitigation and resolution.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and trackers to monitor progress against milestones and targets.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Clinical teams.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and track actions to closure.
- Develop and maintain project management documentation including project budgets, schedules, scope statements, and project plans.
- Act as the primary point of accountability for team members, stakeholders, and vendors for assigned projects.
- Monitor project performance against schedule, scope, and cost, and escalate risks and issues as appropriate.
- Prepare project status reports and materials for senior management and Board updates as required.
- Assist management as required in coordinating and managing the key activities contained in the corporate plan.

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years working in programme office or supporting project management role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects end‑to‑end in a cross‑functional environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage and track deliverables of multiple projects.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and the maturity to manage competing priorities effectively
- University qualifications in relevant
- engineer qualified.
- Broad knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- In depth software capabilities, experienced user of project tracking and documentation systems
- Strong influencing skills and the mindset to get things done.
- Demonstrably strong problem solving skills allowing for proactive identification and resolution of issues
- Exposure to operating in a highly regulated industry, preferably under ISO 13485 and regulatory bodies (eg. FDA, TGA, CE Mark) requiring compliant design and development procedures.

Desirable Requirements:
- Financial knowledge and experience in managing functional budget and supplier relationships.
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions and design verification/validation activities.
