What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, Palliative Care, you will play a pivotal role in developing nursing capability, supporting clinical excellence and ensuring the delivery of safe, person centred care through innovative education programs.
- Design, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs for nursing staff
- Mentor, coach and assess staff competency across palliative care practice
- Facilitate bedside teaching and support professional development at all levels
- Partner with clinical leaders to implement education strategies aligned to organisational priorities
- Lead quality improvement, evidence-based practice and workforce development initiatives

Essential Criteria
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/ or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
