We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join our Application Management and Support team. In this role, you will help ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and evolution of enterprise applications across their full lifecycle supporting both legacy and new initiatives while delivering high-quality, responsive services to internal customers.

What You’ll Bring
- Strong technical expertise in enterprise application support, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
- Experience providing third-level technical support and managing enterprise-scale incidents.
- Demonstrated capability translating business requirements into technical solutions and planning resources for delivery.
- Experience with change management, software upgrades, documentation standards, and configuration/asset registers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle (scoping to implementation).
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry technologies, data programming languages, and emerging trends.
About you
- Ability to thrive and maintain focus in a high-volume operational environment, supporting high-capacity workflows and escalations from help desk and field support teams beyond routine platform administration.
- Extensive knowledge of, and experience in, the Administration and support of enterprise applications, in a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in, and working knowledge of, Administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace platforms, including messaging components.
- Experience in following ITIL Service Management Processes
- Demonstrated focus on driving continuous service improvement, with a proven track record of designing and implementing practical solutions for recurring operational challenges.
- Experience creating and maintaining currency of knowledge and support guides.
- Sound working knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks including ITIL, process tools, frameworks, and best practice methods.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
