Siemens Limited is continuing to grow its presence in the mining sector, securing a number of significant projects across medium and low voltage, automation, software and building solutions. These initiatives have made a substantial contribution to Siemens’ growth and revenue, and we are now looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to take our Mining Vertical to the next level across Australia and New Zealand.
As Head of Mining for Siemens Limited, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a cross-business Mining Strategy. Working closely with six global counterparts across similar markets, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening customer relationships and enhancing employee engagement across the mining vertical.
This is a key leadership position with the opportunity to shape Siemens’ future in one of Australia and New Zealand’s most important industries. The role can be based in Perth or Brisbane.
You will own and execute the Mining Vertical strategy, working across the business to identify opportunities, strengthen our market position and deliver sustainable revenue and profit growth. This will include developing marketing programs and go-to-market strategies, analysing market trends and competitive activity, and translating customer and industry insights into actionable business initiatives.
A key part of the role will be collaborating closely with mining business development, sales, marketing and execution teams, as well as local business units and global stakeholders, to ensure alignment with both local objectives and Siemens’ global mining strategy.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders, representing Siemens at a senior level and strengthening our reputation and position within the mining sector. You will also coordinate activity across business units, identifying opportunities for collaboration and synergies while proactively addressing issues that could impact our overall market strategy.
As a senior leader, you will provide visibility of the vertical’s performance through accurate reporting and forecasting, including pipeline development and secured orders, while leading research and market intelligence activities that support informed decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the mining industry, including its customers, competitors, market dynamics and emerging trends. You will bring a strong network of senior industry relationships and a proven track record of developing and executing strategies that deliver sustainable growth.
You will be a customer-focused and commercially minded leader with the ability to influence across a complex organisation. An adaptive leadership style will enable you to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, building a culture based on trust, collaboration and belonging.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills will be essential, together with the ability to turn market insights and customer needs into clear commercial opportunities.
At Siemens, you will join a forward-thinking organisation that values innovation, collaboration and excellence. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on Siemens’ growth in the mining sector while working with a diverse range of businesses, customers and global stakeholders.
As part of our ownership culture, Siemens also genuinely supports flexible working practices that empower our employees to balance work and personal commitments.
We strive to provide a safe working environment for each member of our diverse team and commit to continuously develop our ways of working on this journey. From our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan to our diverse cultural celebrations, LGBTQIA+ education and support to our gender equity initiatives, we strive to make our workplace an inclusive environment where every individual feels empowered and heard.
