About the Role
We’re seeking a Designer / Architect to join our Infrastructure team in our Sydney Studio and contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects, with a particular focus on data centre design, production, detailed documentation and peer review. In this role, you’ll undertake detailed architectural and technical work with minimal supervision, leading or assisting in project delivery while ensuring positive design, client, team, and financial outcomes. You will also:
- Partner with the project team to understand client needs
- Contribute to the delivery of projects and project packages on time
- Ensure the project leader is informed of all technical or design aspects of the job to perform their role
- Recommend technical document production for projects
- Manage delivery of approved technical and design document production
- Execute the performance management process
- Role model Architectus culture and values
- Attend and provide valued input at management meetings
About You
Working in our Sydney Studio with a national team of design and delivery leaders within the Infrastructure space, this is an opportunity for an ambitious, technically minded Designer / Architect. To be considered for this role, you will bring:
- 6+ years post-graduation experience
- Data Centre experience is preferred but not essential. Relevant complex building experience with heavy services coordination such as laboratories, advanced manufacturing, rail or aviation will be looked at favourably
- Sound Revit and 3D modelling (Rhino preferred) and Adobe skills)
- Design communication skills to convey design concepts through imagery and diagrams
- Prior experience on large-scale, complex public projects
- Working knowledge and experience applying the requirements of the BCA/NCC and other relevant standards
- Design-focused, with a passion for leading the front end of projects and participating in concept design
