About the role:
Water Corporation is looking for an experienced and motivated Analyst – Customer Systems to join our Customer Systems team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance and continuous improvement of systems that directly support customer services across the organisation.
You will play a key role in delivering system enhancements, supporting applications, and working closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive high-quality outcomes.

What the role will involve:
In this role, you will support the end-to-end delivery and ongoing support of customer-facing systems, ensuring they are reliable, efficient and aligned to business needs.
Key responsibilities include:

Gathering and analysing business requirements, problem statements and solution needs
-
Supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, testing and implementation
-
Planning and coordinating delivery of system changes, enhancements and maintenance activities
-
Engaging with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and customer requirements
-
Conducting solution design reviews and supporting quality assurance activities
-
Managing delivery risks and ensuring adherence to governance processes and standards
-
Coordinating with service providers to deliver high-quality system outcomes
-
Supporting deployment and release activities as required
Application Support
-
Ensuring systems are available, stable and performing in line with expectations
-
Investigating incidents and contributing to problem management and resolution activities
-
Providing technical and process expertise to support issue resolution
-
Monitoring system performance and identifying improvement opportunities
-
Supporting transition of new services into operational support
-
Assisting with system lifecycle management and security role administration
Process & Continuous Improvement
-
Supporting change and release processes in line with delivery frameworks
-
Managing testing activities for system enhancements
-
Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
-
Contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development within the team
Key skills and experience:
You are a collaborative and analytical professional with experience in application delivery and support within complex IT environments.
You will demonstrate:
-
Degree qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Information Systems, Computer Science, Business IT) or equivalent experience
-
Experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
-
Experience in application support, including incident, problem and change management
-
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical teams
-
Experience coordinating delivery of system enhancements and releases
-
Understanding of system design principles and testing practices
-
Experience in process improvement and optimisation
-
ITIL Foundation (or similar) and Business Analysis training
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
-
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Desirable experience:
The following experience will be highly regarded:

Experience supporting customer systems such as billing, metering, CRM or digital customer platforms
-
Certifications such as ISTQB (Software Testing), IREB (Requirements Engineering) or Agile BA
-
Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning, stand‑ups, and continuous improvement
