The opportunity for U

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join us on 12 month FTC to be based in our Sydney Headquarters. In this role you'll be collaborating with colleagues in the UK and Vietnam to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and database solutions, with a strong focus on SQL development. You’ll deliver secure, high-performing systems that support critical business applications, data integration, and analytics.

What U will deliver

Design scalable relational database solutions
Develop and optimise SQL queries, procedures, and triggers
Drive performance tuning and enforce database security
Collaborate with engineers and architects for seamless integration
Ensure data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery
Mentor junior developers and maintain technical documentation
Contributes to the success of a high performing team

U will be someone with:

7–10 years in software development with strong database expertise
Proven SQL skills and experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
Performance tuning and query optimisation expertise
Strong problem-solving and collaborative development skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

Other desirable skills and experience

Experience with CI/CD and database automation
Cloud database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
Previous experience in wealth administration technology
