As a Power Solutions Project Manager at Coates, you’ll provide expert advice to new and existing customers, network with external engineering and operational teams to drive sales and delivery of Power Generation, Microgrid, HV systems and complex power supporting HVAC, Compressed Air and Pumping systems. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver temporary Power Projects. What you’ll be doing
- Build microgrid systems, utilising diesel generation, BESS and Solar, to service our portable buildings installations
- Size and implement Energy Storage Systems to support peak lopping applications
- Work closely with Coates Power & HVAC engineering team to design and quote complex LV & HV power solutions
- Deliver HVAC projects, supporting Chiller and Boiler systems with electrical design and delivery
- Support Sales team with expert advice, build bespoke power systems, ensuring delivery on time and budget
- Responsible for oversight of in yard testing and on-site delivery of complex power systems.
- Manage internal and external trades and transport to deliver projects to timeline and commercial outcomes
- Monitor ongoing maintenance activities, assist with breakdown response and offer a single point of contact to customers for your allocated projects
- Provide market and product insights, attend industry events and expos, and apply your learnings to product development. You’ll also work with OEMs and internal engineering teams to refine Coates’ products.
- Work within Sydney Metro and Southern NSW, however, be willing to travel interstate should your skills and experience be required to support applications.
- Add value to the broader Solutions team, collaborate with our Traffic, Pumping, Water treatment and Site Accommodation business units
What you’ll bring to the role
- Previous experience in Electrical Project Management
- Electrical Supervisors or Contractors license
- Willingness to act as a nominated supervisor
- CEC accreditation is preferrable
- Understanding of Energy Storage and microgrid principals
- Industrial controls and networking experience
- Experience with generator and microgrid controls, eg. ComAp
- Mechanical and Electrical experience with Diesel Generators
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and smooth the way to seamless project delivery
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and apply a, ‘Can do’ attitude to your activities and engagements.
- Ability to ‘read the room’ and be confident working with customers and internal stakeholders at all skill levels
- A willingness to travel regionally for site meetings and project delivery
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
